Charlene groaned and stretched out, letting out small noises as her body twisted. She felt incredibly lazy and drained, despite the fact that she had just woken up. She stared up at her ceiling for a while, not having any energy to do anything but furrowed her eyebrows when she realised just how light it was in her room. She sat up slowly and had to squint at the light that was seeping through her blinds. God, what time was it? She turned to her bedside table and saw 9:10 flashing in red neon lights at her. “Shit!” She wrestled herself out of her sheets and quickly rushed to the bathroom and tried as fast as she could to get ready for yet another Monday morning.

She rushed to her locker that contained her english books and quickly worked on the lock. As usual, her combination didn’t open on her first try, unusual though, it didn’t work on her second try or her third, or her fourth. She groaned loudly and banged her head on her locker - not hard enough to hurt, but hard enough for the sound to echo through the deserted corridor. She raised her head when heard the sudden sound of footsteps down the hall and turned to see Drew Victorino walking her way. She bit her lip as she looked at him, she was desperate yes, but was she desperate enough to talk to him again? Before she even realised what she was doing, she heard herself calling out his name. She exhaled through puffed cheeks. No point in stopping now. “Do me this one favour and do my combination lock? I know you know it. And you know how useless I am at these things…” She pursed her lips together and turned back to her locker, unsure of just how this conversation was going to turn out.

She wouldn’t be surprised if he Drew had just kept on walking, it’s actually what she was expecting. This would be the first time they would be talking ever since she had moved dorms. She wasn’t sure if he was mad at her or sad that she had left… infact, she didn’t know how he felt about her at all. The two use to be around eachother all the time, with Mallory being her bestfriend and her being his girlfriend. She was sad that they hadn’t talked the whole year, but she was afraid that he would reject her like most of her former dorm mates. She looked back up at him, with the biggest puppy-dog eyes she could muster. Silently hoping that all the things that she was worried about was just from her overracting and overthinking things and that Drew would be different.

Karina smiled at the girl’s offer. A smoothie sounded pretty good right now. She shuffled awkwardly in her spot next to the huge double doors of Constantino. She looked around, trying desperately to see any sign of the smoothie place. Her eyebrows furrowed when she couldn’t see anything but grass and sidewalk. “Uh…Charlene…where is the smoothie bar?” She asked, feeling like a little kid. Not knowing where anything was had to be the hardest part of a new school.

Karina wondered if the bar was behind a building or something, but it was definitely not within view…or maybe she just wasn’t looking hard enough. She looked to her guide for help. “I have no clue where we’re going.” Karina fumbled in her canvas bag for her sunglasses. “And I can barely see anything with this sun.” Karina walked off in a random direction, knowing that Charlene would soon steer her in the proper direction and then take the lead. Karina was totally fine with that.

Charlene watched the other girl with a raised brow, watching her looking lost and confused amused her to a certain extent. She let out a small chuckle at Karina’s question and turned to face the other way, “Somewhere over there…” she said looking out to where the Smoothie Bar was supposedly held. “You can’t exactly see it from here with all the trees and buildings. It means we’re going to have to walk.” She said turning back to Karina with a smug smile on her face. She turned to see that she had started wandering off in the other direction, she gently grabbed her by the elbow and led her to her. “Hey, you’re going to get lost if you just wander off like that.” She linked her own arm with the other girls, joining them at the crook of their elbows. Charlene almost giggled, finding the whole ordeal of how she was treating her like a child, silly.

As she walked beside the girl she looked down at their feet, almost in sync with eachother. They walked in a comfortable silence, but Charlene wanted to get to know her. “So Karina, what made you move to Tipton?”

Karina was really looking forward to learning every single acre of the Tipton campus. She was tired of getting lost at nearly every turn she took. She forgot where her dorm was half the time. She was excited to have Charlene show her around, she seemed like she’d make a great friend. It would certainly help having someone in the same year and dorm as her to help her out. This was the moment she had been waiting for.

Charlene double checked her hair in her vanity before she stepped out of her dorm, preparing herself to meet with the new girl, Karina. She seemed nice enough, but she couldn’t help but notice her tumblr. She didn’t seem as happy as let out to be, and Charlene wasn’t about to go and push it, but she just wanted to know that she was okay. She didn’t exactly know what being the “new kid” felt like, but she knew what it was like to hold out on a secret.

She walked up to the girl as soon as she saw her, leaning against the Constantino building like they had agreed. “Karina, right?” she asked hesitantly as she approached the girl. “Not going to lie, I’m dying for a smoothie right now,” she admitted as she let her eyes wander off to where the smoothie bar was held, holding a hand over her eyes to block the sun’s harsh rays. “How does that sound?”

Anthony knew he would never be able to get absolutely used to the image before him. The sleeping prince and his loyal kitten both snuggled beside him, their breathing in sync. He couldn’t tell which of the two was more endearing, and he was definitely not going to disrupt their sleep. Carefully, Anthony manoeuvred himself out of the covers and off the bed. He moved to Ryder’s side and placed a soft kiss on the boys temple, gaining the cutest of mewls from his boyfriend and he had to fight from giggling happily.

He grabbed his clothing, seeing as he had stripped down to only his briefs, and took one last look at Ryder. Smiling, he left the room, quietly opening the door and closing it once he was out in the hall. It was pretty early, but not enough to risk running into someone. Not that he had anything to hide anymore (besides Belle), so he wasn’t really panicking or anything. He did want to avoid people, though. It was too early to do any explaining. Of course, Anthony seldom got what he wanted, and he was met with Charlene Stone, moving through the boys hall.

As quiet as she possibly could, Charlene made her way to Robbie’s door and turned it open. Tiptoeing out of his room and into Constantino’s dark and early hall, its cold air hitting her immediately, her senses almost begging her to go back into the warmth and comfort of Robbie’s arms. But she shook the thoughts away. It was an early Monday morning, and she knew that if she wanted to slip out of his room unnoticed that she’d have to do it now or not at all. So she had quickly kissed her boyfriend who was in a deep slumber hastily on the lips before slipping out of his bed, sure not to disturb his sleep.

Charlene kept her eyes low, struggling to keep them open against the weight of drowsiness that clung onto her eyelids and brought her arms around herself, trying to rub the warmth off of Robbie’s jumper that she had taken and onto her skin. She wasn’t expecting to see anyone so early in the morning but was wrongly mistaken when she saw a familiar figure leaving a room on the other side of the corridor. She let out a small chuckle, surely audible in the quietness of the hall, at how obvious it was he’d only just dressed himself, probably in the same minute it took him to open the door. “Big night?” she asked when she was next to him, glancing towards his messy hair and now-crinkled clothing with a sly smirk across her face.

Matthew tapped his pen against his notebook, hearing the constant blabbering of the teacher. This class had lasted for too long.

His attention deviated, helped by his tapping and the ticking of the clock. He set his attention on the blonde girl sitting two seats away from him. She was smart, obviously. She answered every question the teacher asked. He figured she wasn’t a David, for Davids never paid attention in class, nevertheless participate.

Before even realizing how much time had passed, Matthew snapped out of his thought with the loud ringing of the bell.

He quickly gathered his things and walked out of the classroom, right after said girl.

“Putting us Roses to shame in there…” he said, reaching her side and walking next to her.

“Matthew Sawyer, it’s a pleasure” he introduced himself.

The thing that Charlene dreaded the most from the school week was definitely English 3. Not only was the class a bore with a monotone-voiced teacher, but her classroom was filled with David’s sitting left right and center from her. Which is probably why she’s always been the first person out of the door, or the last. She would never want to leave just as everyone else was, afraid of contacting the peers she had grown to love and was now forced to dislike.

She was already half way down the hall, her books close to her chest when she heard an unfamilair voice from behind her. She snapped her head around, surprised at the sudden sound. English period to her was her quiet time. She droned out all of the sound and only focused on the notes on the board. She managed to blur out everything around her and focus on the work infront of her, probably the reason why she was doing so well in that class. It was hard though, to ignore the feeling of being watched, pretend not to see them in the corner of her eye, to resist the urge to turn your head around at an old friend and not be able to talk to them.

She kept on walking though, giving the boy a slight smile, not bothering to face his way. “That’s a good thing, right?” she asked with a tilt of her head. She was sure she’s never talked or seen this boy around campus before, but then again plenty of things happened around her without her being aware of it. When they got to the end of the hall, she opened the door and held it open for him. “Charlene Stone. You new here, Sawyer?”

Yes. Anthony Hughes, pleased to make your acquaintance, mon cheri.

You must’ve mistakened me for your little Frenchie, Anthoine. Who I’ve yet to meet, by the way.
